"Outside Inside" started with one of the many landscape photos I have taken on my nature walks. I wanted to make a small series of other collages like this, but did not get a chance this year. The idea for this collage is bringing the beauty of outdoor, wild places, home. I receive a lot of serenity and comfort from both nature and my home, so for me, this is a symbolic image of bringing the two together.

This mixed media collage is made up of a one of my photographs, and painted and printed gelli prints. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th photos are close ups so you can see the photo and the textures of the papers better. The last photo is a work in progress photo. This is a unique, one-of-a-kind artwork.

*All materials used for this collage are acid free and archival.

*Framing Suggestion: I would suggest having an acid free mat cut for the collage. Acid free mat board will keep the paper from yellowing with age. The mat will keep the collage away from the glass, just in case moisture gets inside the frame. And always, the best way to protect any original art piece is to be sure to not hang it in direct sunlight or close to a bright lamp which will age and fade the artwork.
