A winged heart nestling a sleeping cat, soars above a gentle landscape of rolling hills and mountains. The wings suggest that the love is free and boundless, unconditional, signifying a deep and pure form of affection.

"Woven Heart" is a mixed media collage made up of a linocut cat, linocut printed gold wings, two gelli printed papers that have been cut into strips and woven together, and hand painted papers. This is a unique, one-of-a-kind artwork.

The blue background for this collage is a little bit lighter in color.

The papers for the woven heart are in shades of pink and gold and peach. It is a nice blend of matte and shiny papers. The 3rd photo gives you a closer look at the weave. *Framing Suggestion: I would suggest having an acid free mat cut for the collage. Acid free mat board will keep the paper from yellowing with age. The mat will keep the collage away from the glass, just in case moisture gets inside the frame. And always, the best way to protect any original art piece is to be sure to not hang it in direct sunlight or close to a bright lamp which will age and fade the artwork.
